Member Chris Gray was approached by his neigbour Susan Hutchinson from Azardi-eZan to help with a woman who had escaped from Afghanistan to to Pakistan and desperately needed a cesarian section for the birth of her 3rd child.

Chris approached Michael Rabey who agreed and put it to the board early September 2023. Board agreed and we sent $500 to Azardi-eZan.

The woman gave birth on 18 September 2023 to a healthy baby called Basit.

She was the director of a women’s rights organisation and managed a tertiary scholarship program in partnership with the Afro’s and Carnegie Foundations.
