RCCBG Vocational Service

Vocational Service 2015-2016

During the year the Club will present “Vocational Excellence Awards” to three outstanding people who are chosen by the Club for the quality of their work and their high professional and ethical standards. The Club will also visit enterprises of vocational interest, will hear speakers on vocational topics and will invite members to provide updates on their own professional interests.

Vocational Service is the way that Rotary fosters and supports the application of the ideal Service to the pursuit of all vocations. The importance of this Avenue of Service is evident from the fact that three of the four objectives of Rotary directly reference this Avenue.

The role of the Club is to implement and encourage the objectives by its own actions in dealing with the community and by the development of projects that enable members to use their vocational talents in the service of the community. The role of members is to conduct themselves and their businesses in accordance with Rotary principles, and support the Vocational Service projects that the club has developed.
