Jillian Thomsen – A Young Woman’s Perspective of Pre-Withdrawal Afganistan.

Our third guest speaker was Jillian Thomsen, Australia’s 2008  youth ambassador to the United Nations Youth Assembly in New York. Jillian had previously volunteered in Takmao, Cambodia, working with landmine victims and in disability inclusive development as a community development officer for Rose Rehabilitation Cambodia.  Gillian presentation focused on her experiences in Afghanistan.  How people, [...]
