After the excitement of last week’s changeover dinner, we have a lighter Bulletin this week. There are photos of the changeover; information on the next meeting (including the duties roster); some reader contributions (the Editor is also a reader!); and an observation on keeping secrets. Happy reading!
Last week’s meeting
PDG Rob Wooley and Bill Andrews
Guests from the Embassy of Ukraine, Mr Vsevolod Mytsyk and Ms Yana Mokhonchuk
Russell Dew and Margita Jakovics
Last Thursday’s changeover at Saffron restaurant was a great success: a good time was had by all and we raised over $4000 for a camp for Ukrainian children. More photos of the event are at https://rccbg.org/page/changeover-2023 (thanks to Christ Gray).
Next meeting
On Thursday, 29 June, we will be hearing from Tom Calma (pictured above) who will speak on the proposed Voice for Indigenous Peoples. He is Co-Chair of Advisory Group on The Voice; Senior Australian of Year; and Chancellor of the University of Canberra. This will be a lunch meeting at the Commonwealth Club.

Dancing in the Holbrook Shire Hall on Saturday night.
Over the weekend I went to Holbrook for a square dance weekend. While exploring the town I found the Rotary Club of Holbrook had been involved in the provision of a drinking water fountain (pictured above). The Club meets on Thursday evenings for a sit-down meal, and updates its Facebook page regularly.
