Notes on the run
It was a magnificent, albeit cool day on Sunday. I went out with Dad to "The Battle of Waterloo" car show at the Spanish club where we had a standoff .

You should have seen an email from me with some information around the Changeover Dinner. Please reach out if you want any more information.  Looking to have a good night.

ALSO: If you have anything suitable as a prize, please let me know and we will try to incorporate it.

Everyone seemed to have a great time at Scrivener Dam, I was most annoyed that I had some important meetings scheduled at the last minute and had to look through the fence!

We had a great outing to Scrivener Dam. Many thanks to David Wright, National Capital Authority Lake Manager, for his comprehensive briefing and guiding us on a tour inside the Dam wall. For a reminder of what we heard (or to find out what you missed), I recommend the NCA web page: https://www.nca.gov.au/attractions/scrivener-dam#.

Next meeting: NEW VENUE!
Our next Club meeting will be held on Thursday, 27 June 2024, at the Mercure on the corner of Limestone and Ainslie Avenues, Braddon. We will meet in the Grosvenor Room, with formalities kicking off at the usual time of 12:30 pm.

The lunch will be Roast Lamb with roast potatoes and vegetables. If you have any dietary requirements that mean this meal is not suitable for you, you may order a meal from the Bistro. Parking is at the back and is free (access code is 9779 – please note this is changed fortnightly) and if their carpark is full the street parking is free after 11.00am.

The cost of the meal is $28.00 and includes soft drinks on the table. You may purchase alcoholic beverages from the Bar. This is a trial so please provide any feedback on the venue to Secretary Russell or President Warrick.

Our guest speaker will be Max Gancarz, speaking on the Shitbox Charity Rally.

Rotary logo update
Starting in November, all Rotary member pins sold by licensed vendors will feature current Rotary branding. Members can still wear the old “Legacy Emblem” logo pins, but won’t be able to buy them. The Legacy Emblem’s retirement is an ideal opportunity for clubs and districts to review their logos and promotional materials to ensure the correct logo and logo lockups are being used. Visit the Brand Center to ensure your club is using the Rotary logo and logo lockups correctly.
