From the President

A big thank you to Club Members who helped out with the Rotary Peace Walk over the weekend. What a great event it turned out to be even with the Covid issue. We had walkers from as far afield as Sydney, Melbourne and various towns all over NSW. The weather could not have been better for the event and the feed back I received was that everyone enjoyed the Canberra scenery.

The meeting next Thursday, 1st April, is a Club Forum. All Directors will give an update on their Committee activity and members can discuss any issue they would like to bring to our attention.

We will probably be inducting a new member so I ask that as many of you as possible attend to mark this occasion.

I am planning a joint meeting with the Canberra Club sometime in May when the Governor General, General Hurley, will be the guest speaker so watch out for this date when it is known.

     JOKE

Returning home from work a blonde was shocked to find her house ransacked and burglarized. She telephoned the police at once and
reported the crime. The police dispatcher broadcast the call on the radio and a K-9 unit, patrolling nearby, was the first to respond.

As the K-9 officer approached the house with his dog on a leash the blonde ran out on the porch, shuddered at the sight of the cop and
his dog, then sat down on the steps.  Putting her face in her hands she moaned, "I come home to find all my possessions stolen.  I call
the police for help, and what do they do? They send me a BLIND policeman!"

    President Eric.
